Getting ready for a professional photo session can be tricky, especially if you’ve never done it before. Or, it can even be daunting if you weren’t happy with your previous session. AMAZING MOOD:

A cheerful and sunny mood is your best accessory! Being happy and relaxed brings out a genuine glow from within that makes for amazing photographs. Share the good news with your family: this is the time for everyone to show off their personality and to enjoy a great experience of being together!

Sit down as a family to browse our galleries and blog. Our sample photos can inspire you to express your individualities and togetherness in your own unique way. Anyone play a (reasonably small) musical instrument? Why not bring it along and flaunt your artistic talent? Any golf, tennis, or soccer enthusiast in your family? Grab your clubs, rackets, or soccer balls – exhibit your sport passion! Anyone who enjoys devouring book after book? Bring a bunch of your print friends or your beloved e-reader – you’ve shared many exciting hours together, don’t you think they deserve to be in your photo?

Amazing mood means no worries or fights before the shoot – wake up with an air of anticipation and come in all bright-eyed and excited!

 
AMAZING OUTFITS:

- Matching

First and foremost, wear matching outfits! A photograph of a lady in a formal gown beside her casually-dressed husband and kids in bright flip-flops looks eclectic, and not in a good way. Matching outfits convey a strong sense of family and togetherness. And if you want to try different styles, this is what an outfit change is for!

- Formal

If you are aiming for a photo to match the Prime Minister’s framed family shots, your choice is obvious: formal gowns, blouses, immaculate shirts and ties, crisply ironed pants… Seek to create a pulled-together and polished look.

- Casual

A secret of a lovely warm family photo is to go bright! Stay away from black. Red, yellow, green, orange, blue… Mix these awesome colours with white, and you will get amazingly vibrant images. Click here to pick colours that match together!

- Footwear

Your footwear should be matching with the whole attire and with the rest of your group. Flip-flops and high heels don’t belong together! You can all wear different shades, just make sure everyone sticks to the same style.

- Eyewear

If you wear glasses most of the time, but you love how you look without them, consider wearing contacts to your session. If your glasses are a part of your personal style, you’re very welcome to wear them, just keep in mind that removing glare from flash reflections on some of your portraits may be impossible.

 
AMAZING MAKEUP / HAIR:

Although all your photographs will be retouched at no additional fee, applying beautiful makeup and styling your hair is crucial and pays back greatly. Contrary to popular belief, not everything can be fixed by “Photoshopping”. If you are a perfectionist, go to a makeup artist. This itself will help you feel that sweet anticipation before the shoot! In any case, come armed with your beauty case – you’ll be happy to have it handy if you need a touch-up during the session.

 
AMAZING POSES:

Portrait poses come naturally and spontaneously as we give you directions during the shoot. You will have all the possible combinations: kids with parents, parents together, kids together, etc. But what if you want a particular picture, a special pose? Bring along any ideas – this will make your session even more exciting!

 
AMAZING YOU:

All of the above is not a requirement! The most important thing is that YOU are already amazing, and we will do our best to show this through your photographs. These tips tell you what you can do from your side to enhance your pictures and make them look even more beautiful!
